Admission to St.Joseph Global School, Devarkulam .Is restricted by certain policies of the management and by the conditions of age, ability and conduct of the candidate. Hence applicants for admission may be given an oral / written test at the time of admission. The decision of the school authorities regarding the entrance test shall be final. Admissions are made in Pre.K.G, L.K.G, U.K.G classes and for standards I to VIII.
For direct admissions children should satisfy the age rule i.e., 2+ for nursery 3+ for L.K.G. and 4+ for U.K.G and so on,as on 31st of July of the year of admission.
Students coming from unrecognized institutions will not be admitted. Two passport size photos, Xerox copies of the Birth Certificate and Community Certificate and original copy of Transfer Certificate should be produced at the time of admission.
Procedure for L.K.G includes a personal meeting with the child and parents to verify the certificates and to brief the rules and regulations of the school. An entrance test will be conducted in English, Maths for the students.
Seeking admission for U.K.G to VII standard and those who are selected on merit alone will be admitted in the school.
Application for admission should be made on the prescribed form by parents or guardian who will be responsible to the head of the school for the pupil’s conduct. Punctuality, Regular attendance, progress in school and payment of fees.
The principal reserves the right of refusing admission to a pupil without ascribing any reason to it. He also reserves the right to discontinue the studies of any pupil whose conduct and academic performance is not satisfactory.
The management has the right to increase the fee and introduce new rules, amend or change the rules and regulations in case of exigencies and in furtherance of the aims and objectives of the managing society and the school when necessity arises.

School academic session is from June to March Academic year comprises of three terms.

Christmas holidays at the termination of 2nd Term will consist of12 or 13 days and will be tentatively from 22nd December. Summer holidays at the termination of 3rd Term coinciding with the conclusion of Annual Examination consist of 45 to 50 days.
Our school will be working only five days in a week Monday to Friday. Saturdays and Sundays will be weekly holidays.
The working days is divided into two sessions

Students must be inside the school premises before 9.00 am bell. If late beyond 9.00 a.m.they should bring letter of explanation from the parent. Late comers should surrender their hand books to the Volunteer at the gate.
As regular attendance is an important element for successful school work, no student should absent himself / herself from class without sufficient reasons. No special / extra classes will be conducted for students absent during regular classes .
In case of serious illness, the principal must be informed on time, and leave applications should be accompanied by a Doctor’s certificate. Long absence from the school without prior intimation will be viewed seriously. They are liable to be removed from the roll.
Absence due to illness or any other reasons should be intimated at once. Prior permission is required even for short period of a day or two. Leave record should be produced on the successive day to the principal / Head mistress countersigned by the class teacher.
Pupils will not be allowed to leave the school during the working hours. In case of emergency, the parent or the guardian should seek permission from the Principal personally.
Absence from tests or examinations will be considered a serious breach of school discipline. Pupils who absent themselves from any of the terminal examinations, for any reason other than sickness justified by Doctor’s certificate, will be considered as having failed for that particular examination .
Students and teachers have to attend the morning assembly and join the prayers. Those who come late shall not enter the class, but report to the Principal/ Teacher designate and get marked in the late attendance column in hand book. Routine late coming will not be tolerated, but will be viewed seriously. Sick and un-healthy students and those suffering from contagious diseases will not be permitted to attend the classes.
