NOTE TO THE STUDENTS

Every student is expected to:

  1. Students should give due respect to every teacher irrespective of the class handling.
  2. Students shall stand and wish a teacher or a visitor when he/she enters and leaves the classroom.
  3. Students shall not interfere when the teachers are conversing.
  4. Students shall observe complete silence in the absence of any teacher.
  5. Students shall not whisper in the classrooms and shall not talk on the corridors and also stop conversing when teachers or superiors pass by.
  6. Students shall read the students’ handbook carefully and be controlled to it and take note on the important things.
  7. Students shall not use of any bad language, unruly behavior and manners against any student or teacher.
  8. As per the govt. rule, school student driving a vehicle is not permitted. The school expects strict observance of the same.
  9. All the students from LKG onwards should converse only in English.
  10. Read the students hand book carefully and act on it. Make a note of important things.
  11. Usage of bad language, unruly behavior and manners are strictly forbidden. Aim at full attendance and unfailing punctuality.
  12. Be fear of God and believe that praying to the God for any help is answered.
  13. Time is precious so, use it responsibly.
  14. Report the school in time and maintain neat and tidy with full school uniform as prescribed.
  15. Notebooks and home works shall be completed then and there and must be corrected by the teachers concerned. Notebooks and Textbooks must be maintained properly. Students are advised to use only ink pen from standard IV onwards.
  16. Refrain from damaging of any school’s properties, compensation must be paid against any such damages (if caused), at the discretion of the Principal.
  17. English enabled environment. Converse only in English.
  18. Pupils are advised not to wear expensive ornaments and not to bring any valuable articles to the school (Electronic gadgets or any other forms). The school will not be responsible for any of its loss. Any electronic gadgets confiscated from the students will not be returned.
  19. Students who come to school by bicycle should make sure to lock the cycle before leaving to their respective class. The school will hold no responsibility for the cycle that is lost.
  20. Promotion to the higher class is entirely depending on the academic performance of the students.
  21. Bring napkins / hand-towels, spoons in order to maintain classrooms neat and tidy.
  22. No student is permitted to bring story books, magazines and periodicals to the classrooms without being approved by the Principal.
  23. The students are not supposed to keep money with them. If money is brought, it should be deposited at the school office.
  24. Students themselves are responsible for their belongings. While every effort is taken by the school authorities to avoid the loss of such articles, the ultimate responsibility rests on students only.
  25. Be responsible for your own books, fountain pen, Tiffin and lunch careers, etc.
  26. Any student who makes the place dirty or encourages for the same will be severely punished / fined.
  27. Students suffering from contagious diseases will not be permitted to attend the classes.
  28. Any student who is absent to the school shall submit leave letter to the class teacher when he / she joins the school after the leave.
  29. Long leave shall be availed only after obtaining the prior permission.
  30. Any student, who is availing leave for more than 5 days on medical grounds, shall attach a medical certificate along with the leave letter.
  31. If a student is absent for more than a month without intimation his / her name will be struck off from the roll.
  32. Students are not permitted to have private tuition with their teachers without the permission of the Principal.
  33. A student has to get prior permission to meet the teachers at their residence / quarters / rooms.
  34. No student is permitted to leave the classroom without teacher’s permission.
  35. If a student is sick, permission shall be granted to leave the school only by the Principal.
  36. A student caught red handed while copying or attempting to copy during the examination will be sent out from the school immediately.
  37. Every student must take part in the activities of the school’s sports and games unless certified physically unfit by a doctor.
  38. Take part in games and recreation which will refresh your mind and give you energy for study.
  39. Any damage to the school’s property, disfiguring the walls, damaging of furniture and electrical appliances, use of nick names, use of unparliamentary words, use of filthy language, any other form of misconducts are punishable offences.
  40. Smoking, use of drugs, narcotics, intoxicants, chewing betel nuts, chewing gums, pan parag, etc., are strictly prohibited inside the campus including school office and reception and any such activity will result in immediate dismissal.
  41. Boy students must have the accepted hairstyle (short hairs, properly combed, not to strengthen hair with petroleum jelly). No beard and moustache either.
  42. Students should have decent dressing (Avoid low hip dressing and pants sweeping the floor). Avoid tight fitting garments.
  43. The causes that justify the removal of a student on the part of the school authorities are: offences against honesty and morality and habitual insubordination.

Loyola is a “HOME OF HOME”. Students are most welcome to meet the Principal / Fathers, Brothers to explain their individual problems or difficulties if any.

Counselling and guidance are available and all possible facilities are provided to make students feel perfectly at home. Apart from serious work, we expect our students to maximum the tradition, discipline and reputation of the school.

NOTE TO THE PARENTS

Parents are requested to co-operate with the school authorities by enforcing regularity and discipline, by seeing to it that the children prepare their lessons and by taking an active interest in the activities of the school.


  1. Students should report to the school on the day of re-opening.
  2. Permission should be sought in case of any late reporting.
  3. Parents should stitch/ attach identification tag in all the belongings of their ward.
  4. Parents/ Guardians are permitted to visit only and not his/her associates.
  5. Only limited visitors are allowed.
  6. Parents / Guardians are not permitted to visit their ward during the school hours.
  7. In case of emergency permission should be sought from the Principal to meet student during the school hours.

  9. Students are not allowed to have Mobile Phone and if it is found in possession of any student it will be confiscated and a fine will be levied on the student.

  11. All communication to the school should be made only through the Principal.
  12. Parents cannot have direct contact with the Teachers/ except through the Principal.
  13. Parents are requested not to visit the Teachers residence and contact them over telephone.
  14. Parents should meet all the teachers during the Parents-Teachers contact session on every second Friday afternoon between 2.00pm & 3.30pm or as it is noted in the handbook. The meeting should not exceed 5 minutes.
  15. Parents should observe the academic performance of their wards. During Parents –Teachers contact session the parents are requested to meet the teachers with their ward & handbook to discuss the steps to be taken for the progress of the child.
  16. Parents should ask for the handbook of their ward and should acknowledge the same.
  17. The progress record is based on his/her overall performance and note on the studies alone.
  18. A cumulative record is maintained in the school for each student. Parents are requested to ask for cumulative record of the ward from the class teacher and acknowledge the same.
  19. Annual fee has to be paid before the stipulated time. Parents desirous to pay the fee in 2 installments can do so with an additional fee Rs.1, 000/- along with the second installment. Cheque will not be accepted at any cost.
  20. When a student is admitted in the school, the parents/ guardians will be deemed to have gone through and accepted all these rules and regulations of the school.
  21. “Travelling” is a delightful experience which keeps the students in tune with the mysteries of nature and the life styles of different people. It broadens their horizon and enriches their education. National level sightseeing tours, one day picnics and short tours are arranged on a regular basis to places of places of interest and historical importance. All the students have to participate in any one of the Educational Tours which will be arranged by the management.
  22. The school authorities may modify from time to time the terms and conditions mentioned in the prospectus without prior notice.
  23. Students shall avoid availing of leave for the following reasons:
    1. Family function not for blood relatives.
    2. Accompanying parents on tour.
    3. Simple religious ceremonies.
    4. Attending to / entertaining relatives / visitors at home.

DISCIPLINARY RULES

  1. All students come under school rules from the beginning of the journey to school until the end of their journey back home.
  2. All pupils should, at all times maintain a high standard of manners, in their words and deeds.
  3. Pupil should always be dressed in the prescribed school uniform or sports uniform, wherever applicable. Informal dress is permitted only on the child’s birthday.
  4. Speaking in English is compulsory in the school premises, in the school and bus stops while waiting to board the bus.
  5. Students shall be responsible for the custody of their belongings. As a precautionary measure, it is suggested that they have their name inscribed on articles like tiffin carriers, school bags, pencil boxes etc. The school authorities will not be responsible for the loss of articles by students.
  6. At the first bell, both students and staff shall assemble in the courtyard in the class order. On dispersal, the students move to their own classrooms in perfect order, together with their class teacher at the rear of the line.
  7. When the teacher enters the classroom, all the students should stand up, greet him / her and remain standing, until they are asked to sit or the teacher takes his / her seat. They shall thank the teacher when the class is over.
  8. Students shall not leave their classroom during or between the periods, but remain silent and prepare for the next period. They shall not enter any other classroom at any time. They should not bring valuable and curious articles, CDs, cell phone, books or magazines etc. They should not wear gold ornaments.
  9. An atmosphere of silence must be maintained by everyone during working hours in classrooms, staffrooms and office.
  10. Lost articles must be claimed from the school office within a week, after which period unclaimed articles will be disposed of. Any damage caused to the property of the school must be immediately reported to the Principal and will have to be made good.
  11. Class rooms and the school premises shall be kept neat and tidy. All waste papers must be put in the proper receptacle. Students must make it a point of picking up and disposing of litter to maintain the appearances of the school. They must take care that display boards, walls, furniture, shelves, blackboards etc. are kept neat and in order.
  12. No collection of any kind whatsoever, and no selling or buying of anything shall be done among the students or staff in the school premises. No meeting, party or picnic or any kind of organized school activity shall be arranged without the previous approval of the Principal. Parents are earnestly requested to make no personal gifts to staff members.

Untidy uniform, unkempt hair, unpolished shoes, torn socks, untrimmed nails and not wearing tie, school belt, I.D card, and ribbon or head band are considered default nature of uniform.
